Viktor Pelepchuk, born in 2000 in Czernowitz, is an Austrian pianist of Ukrainian origin. He began his musical education at the age of six. From 2008 to 2016, he was supported by the national programme for musically gifted children “Children of Ukraine”. In 2016, he won the Grand Prix at the Ukrainian National Competition “New Names” in Kyiv and has also received prizes at international and regional competitions.
Alongside his pianistic training, Viktor Pelepchuk developed an early interest in recording and audio production. He gained his first practical experience at his family’s recording studio in Czernowitz and later contributed to a number of productions while pursuing his developing career as a pianist. Among these were the CDs “Paul Celan. Selected Poetry” (2020) and “Sidi Tal. From Concert Programs” (2021).
Since 2016, Viktor Pelepchuk has been based in Klagenfurt, Austria, the twin city of Czernowitz. He continued his studies at the Carinthian State Conservatory in the piano class of Prof. Elisabeth Väth-Schadler and, from 2020, at the Gustav Mahler Private University for Music, initially under her guidance as well. In 2024, he completed his bachelor’s degree with distinction. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Musical Performance in the class of Prof. Lovre Marušić.
As a pianist, Viktor Pelepchuk maintains an active concert schedule. His recordings are available on major international streaming and download platforms.
Today, he combines his work as a pianist with professional activity in the field of audio production, including work for ORF Kärnten (Carinthian division of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation).
